Comic Con is a sort of odd afair. 40 years ago, and up until about 5 or 6 years ago, it really was a comic book convention - by and for comic book geeks and artist to trade issues, buy original art, meet the writers and artists, and for up and coming / wanna-be comic book artists to get a chance to have thier work critiqued by the big boys at DC or Marvel. And more importantly, a chance for the truly loyal to dress up as thier favorite character - that part at least, remains the same. This year, the big crowds were for the Mormon quazi-vampires from Twilight, James Cameron's latest film, and all other manner of NON-comic book Hollywood-centric fare. The times, the have already a-changed.
