I took this picture precisely because I knew that no camera on earth could capture the eye-popping brilliance of the color of the bougainvillea. I really believe the human eye is not capable of fully seeing the color this thing produces.

You are so right. We have—no, wait, reality clicking in—had two of those at our house in Shadow Hills and I never got a photo that I was even close to being satisfied with. The color is magnificent and has the peculiar quality of thwarting the camera in a devilish manner.
